Warriors Health and Safety

In order to practice and play in games, Chicago Warriors players/parents will need to electronically sign and submit a  Waiver. Parents will need to sign for your player if he is under 18 so he can attend practice or game. Warriors 18 or older can sign waiver themselves. This link allows for electronic signature and electric submission. Chicago Warriors Phase 3 Chicago Park practice protocol

Chicago Warriors teams including coaches, players, and parents will be made aware of and be expected to follow these guidelines regarding Warriors practices during phase 3.

note that more guidelines may be added in the future

  1. All participants (e.g. coaches, players, supervisors, parents) must self-identify any symptoms and stay at home if symptomatic. Symptoms include but are not limited to cough, shortness of breath/difficulty breathing, fever, chills, muscle pain, sore throat, and loss of taste or smell. If anyone in the household is sick, shows symptoms of Covid-19 or has tested positive for Covid-19 and has not recovered, the player should not come to practice.

  2. For practices, coaches will divide players into groups of ten or fewer and establish rotating shifts of these player groups within practice routines.

  3. At least 6 feet of social distancing needs be maintained between non-household individuals as much as possible. It is recognized that occasional incidental breaches of the 6 foot barrier may occur in the course of practice.

  4. All players and on-field coaches will wear a face covering over their nose and mouth. Exceptions can be made for people with medical conditions.

  5. Parents are discouraged from attending practices and will need to maintain a distance at least 15 feet behind fencing and fence extended.

  6. Baseballs used at practice should be sanitized after each practice.

  7. Player equipment (bat bags, shoes, phone) should be placed six feet apart or hung on the inside of the fence extending down the fence line. Players arriving while another team is practicing should wait on the opposite fence line of the practicing team’s equipment and wait to enter the field of play from the end of the fence line. When practice concludes, one team will exit from one fence line and one team will enter from the opposite fence line. No hanging around after practice, head to the parking lot.

  8. Equipment-sharing is discouraged, including helmets, bats and catchers gear. If shared equipment use is required, coaches will sanitize that equipment before and after usage.

  9. All players must bring their own hand sanitizer. Players are advised to limit touching their face.

  10. All players must bring their own water. No sharing of water. Note the park water fountains will be shut off.

  11. Traditional group huddles, handshakes and high fives are not allowed.

  12. Player or parent will need to mark player’s practice or game attendance using our Team Manager App.
